RCMP Office

The Hall Beach RCMP Detachment is currently a two member detachment. There is one corporal and one constable. Members live in force-provided houses that are close to the RCMP detachment. The building is comprised of a large main office which is where the constable work area is located, the NCO i/c’s office, an interview room, file room, exhibit room, kitchen and staff washroom. There is a cell block area which contains a supply room and three cells. A guards’ work area is also located in the cell area.

Members work days throughout the week. During the evening a schedule is divided up and members share on call responsibilities. All calls are sent to Iqaluit OCC and then dispatched to the on call member.

The Hall Beach RCMP duties include all Criminal Code matters and other Territorial statutes; for example assisting with the Wild Life Act, completing driver license exams to swearing Commissionaires of Oaths documents.
